Open Board Positions - 2019-2020

Neenah Soccer Club has a number of Board positions opening up for the 2019-2020 year. These positions will be voted upon at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Neenah Police Station Community Room. 

Board meetings are held every 1-2 months and the duties of each open position are listed below. Please consider getting involved. If you are interested in any of these positions or would like to learn more, please contact Mike Jones, Club President. 

Board members, as well as committee members will be compensated for their time with reduced registration fees in the year following their service. To learn more about the compensation benefits, take a look at our volunteer page here

Vice President - Business
The Vice President-Business shall be responsible for the general business aspects of the Club, such as contract negotiations with sponsors and parters, including the City of Neenah. The Vice President - Business will also help with negotiations and preparation for the annual Flatgrass tournament. Any employees of The Club will report directly to the Vice President-Business, who shall be responsible for setting objectives, providing work direction, and evaluations of employees of the Club in conjunction with the President. 

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all General Membership and Board Meetings, held every 1-2 months.  He/she shall issue notices of meetings to members, and will work with the Administrator and Marketing Director to send message to club constituants.

Equipment Director
The Equipment Director will be responsible for both issuing and collecting equipment for all recreational, academy and classic teams for the club in both the fall and spring seasons. 

Fields Director
The Fields Director will be responsible for coordinating the lining of the fields for the club, as well as setting up and taking down fields each season and for the tournament(s); currently, our club holds fields at Mahler Park, Memorial Park, Southview Park and Great Northern Park, as well as two fields at Lakeview Elementary School. 

Tournament Director
The Tournament Director will be responsible for planning and implementing the Club's tournaments, with the help of a number of tournament committee members. Currently, NSC serves as the host for Flatgrass and co-hosts Copia Cup with Oshkosh United.

Sponsorship Director (Recreational Teams)
The Sponsorship Director will be responsible for soliciting sponsors for our spring recreational teams. 

Marketing Director
The Marketing Director will serve as the leader of the Marketing Committee and the Liaison between the Board and the Committee. The Marketing Committee is responsible for creating, maintaining and following the NSC marketing calendar, along with tournament marketing, website maintenance, social media, tournament sponsorship, newsletters, annual report and other marketing duties as assigned by the President and Tournament Director. 

The club is also looking for new Board members to shadow/work with those Board positions that are up for re-election for the 2020-2021 year (Classic Director, Academy Director), as well as Committee Members for our Fields Committee, Marketing Committee and Flatgrass/Tournament Committee.
