Cancellations and Updates

March 18, 2020 - At NSC, the health and safety of our kids our players, coaches, volunteers and members is our highest priority. We will continue to keep you updated with cancellations and how these might affect our club and planned activities/events.

In following with the direction of US Soccer, Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA), East-Central Soccer District (ECSD), as well as state and county government and public service organizations and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Neenah Soccer Club has chosen to suspend all activities through April 30, 2020.

As of March 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., the following conditions for Club activities and events exist:

  • All club-sponsored group activities through April 30 have been suspended. This includes all group training sessions and games, for all club teams, across all levels and programs.
    • As of now, all State League games through April 30th have been suspended. Those team coaches and managers are determining what games have been affected and working to reschedule games. The deadline for having games completed for the State League season has been extended to July 12.
    • East Central Soccer District (Classic 1 and Classic 2 teams), Academy and Spring Rec games are not scheduled to start until After the April 30th suspension date. We will assess as that time gets closer, whether early games will be postponed to allow for additional practice time or not.
  • 2020/21 Tryout dates have not been changed. The windows still include end-dates/uniform offer dates of June 19th for U11-U14 Boys and Girls and June 29th for U15-U19 Boys and Girls.
  • We are still planning to hold the SCHEELS Flatgrass Showdown May 8-10 at Memorial Park, however, we are preparing for situations that could present changes to this. Please watch the Flatgrass site for more information about this. Should it change, it will be announced here, as well as on the Flatgrass Facebook page.

The coming weeks will give us an opportunity to assess the remainder of the season and best practices to keep our club members safe.

Right now, we have more questions than we do answers. Please be patient with us as we work to get those answers for you. We appreciate your understanding as these times, dates and protocols continue to change very quickly.

Our club's DOC and master coaches will be posting skills and drills videos to help players keep their skills rolling, and we are open to other ideas, too, to keep our players and families engaged while we are at home.

Check back often for additional changes, updates, cancellations and conditions. If you have questions, concerns or ideas, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your patience with us and your understanding as we tackle these decisions during these uncertain times.
